changing publishing logon/password

Apparently FP 2002 will "remember" a logon and password
that is associated with a specific URL. I need to be able
to input a different password as I am currently trying to
understand exactly what the problems are with mapping to
different subdirectorys on a IIS server with FP extensions
installed but the publishing is not quite working right.

Normally we are using a secure FTP server to upload/change
our pages. However, I got ambitous, so we are trying to
get the native FP publishing to work after installing all
the new security patches for the server extensions.

How do I get FP to allow me to use different logons? eg.
delete where the passwords are stored/change them etc.

Thank you,
Tom

On my FP2002 it does remember the password but it still presents the login window so if you need to
change it you can. However once you publish, it will automstically remember and not prompt you
again until you close and reopen the web.

Only doable if you split your web content into individual subwebs that have
been assigned unique permission under the root web, otherwise you are
limited to a login having access to the entire FP web.

FP is web based, not folder based.
