I have tried all ways that I know to change the default
paper size from Letter to A4 in Publisher, but Publisher
still starts with Letter being the default paper size. I
am using Office XP and Publisher XP, any help would be
appreciated.

So these ways are a secret are they. What do you expect people to do, tell you to do what you've already done. Perhaps instead of wasting peoples time with pointless questions you could try using a program within your limited abilities - Type edit in Start - Run.

My car won't start, I tried all the things I know. Why?

Perhaps if I added that I was sticking the key in the lock on the back of the car (the boot or trunk) then people are able to correct the faulty model (or schema) that appears to be in my head.

The other thing is that this is not the publisher newsgroups. Office groups are by product not version. You do get some marks for mentioning your version.

Score 1/3.

Geez, don't you think that was a little un-called for? A simple little note
asking the user to post his question to the appropriate newsgroup would have
sufficed, you don't have to practically call him an idiot just because he's
not up to your skill level.

There are thousands of posts like this a day. It's not on. They need to shape up or ship out.

I already had the publisher disks out to install it till I realised it was the idiot's game of 20 questions and answers. It's not about being at my skill level. It's about being generally intelligent. If one can talk one can think.

Many posters are lazy, they type a one sentence or one paragraph note and hope for the best. This means it can only be answered with a monograph (if this, if that, then if thes, then if that). This is offensive behaviour by them.

They also willfully refuse to use a newsreader. Note they get a choice between OE or the web interface. I know that many fantasise here about a news filter to filter out CDO people.
