Changing Print Cartridge - Epson 785EPX

I received an ERR IEb error message in the display of my Epson 785EPX
indicating i needed to replace my black ink cartridge. I followed all the
instructions and replaced the black cartridge with a new one, but I still
get the error message and can't print.

I believe I following instructions correctly. After inserting new cartridge
I closed the clamp down, closed the top cover, pressed the ink catridge
replacement button. I then awaited for the one minute charging to happen. It
never did and I still get the error message.

Any ideas?

And did you remember to remove the plastic strip?

BTW, no one is going to email you - and you've just negated your own spam
trap by posting your email address in the body of your message. Soon you'll
be inundated with more spam than you can handle.

If all else fails it is sometimes possible for the chipped cartridges not to
register. The solution is a gentle clean of the chip contacts and their
opposing prong contacts. Use an ammonia based or alcohol solution. Ink
sometimes smears on the contacts base.
