changing outlook express display font

I can't find a way to change the font that outlook uses to display items in
the in box and folders panes - the standard font is really ugly, but I can
only find a way to change the font in the message preview and message view
panes. Thanks!

Right click a blank spot on the desktop and choose Properties | Appearance.
In the Item drop-down box (you may have to click Advanced to see it) choose
Icon. Change the font or size and click Apply.

I have never investigated those options before Is the default Tahoma?

I suppose I should investigate / play with some of the other options.
