I curently am running win98se and I am considering going
to win2000. The question is will all my backups convert to
NTFS ? I am sure my programs are sutible for 2000.

What I have in mind is Quicken backup files and other
stuff like jpeg and btmp files. I also have a lot of works
2000 files and word 2000 docs.I have not made any of my
backups from win98 os. they are all made by the program I
use or independently with a cd burner.

Hi David,

If, by writing "will all my backups convert to NTFS" you mean will you be able to
restore the backups you made with the Windows 98 Backup program (that have a file
extension of .QIC), with the Backup tool in Windows 2000, then the answer is no.

is running Microsoft Windows 98 to Windows 2000
