I have a 16 GB HD that came with my computer that stays
pretty full. I installed a 60 GB for data and backing up,
but I would rather have the 6o GB as my main and the 16GB
as my backup. How can I switch everything, inlcuding the
OS to the larger drive? I tought I could just copy
everything and then change the derive letters, but I
don't know if that would work.

That won't work. Check the Western Digital or Maxtor
websites for programs that they have to create a bootable
image of the first drive. You might want to partition the
new drive and install the "image" to a 16-20 GB partition
and have one or two other partitions to which you could move
data files.
