Hello,
I am having a strange problem with my WIN 2000 server.
I have it auto rebooting every night at 8:30pm.
Anyway, if I go into the LAN properties in control panel in the morning, I
can see that my network adapter is connected at 100mbps.

If i go in at noon or so, my adapter says its connected at 10mbps.

There is nothing changing on my network, that i am aware of, that would
cause this to occur.

does anyone have any idea why this may be happening and how to fix it?

I have checked cabling, switches, etc etc.

Go to the Device Manager and double-click on the network adapter you
are using. There should be an "Advanced" tab which usually contains an
entry for "Speed and Duplex" which is usually set to "Auto". Sometimes
network cards do not auto-sense very well. Simply change this setting
from "Auto" to "100 Mb" to force it to work at this speed.

Follow John's advice and also look to see if any
other (especially older) machines might be set to
10 Mbps.

You might also just have a bad hub that is switching
this station to the 10 Mbps side.
