is there a way by which i could change the activation name
that my windows xp home edition was registered in?

any information about the subject would be more then
appreciated.

There is no "Activation Namne" Activation use no personal information.
It uses some Hardware idnetification along with your Product number to
create a hash. Which is sent to MS and in return you get the teh activation
code.

Registration, which is entirely voluntary, is different. To change the
registration. Simply re-register through the Registration Wizard. To open
Registration Wizard, click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type
regwiz /r.
