I need to change the filename extentsion on several thousand files, I would love to do this at one time instead of one by one. My OS is XP Home. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank

Brian

Hi Brian,

There's a program called RName-It. It is especially
great for batch conversions (renaming either the prefix [filename] or
the suffix [extension] of large numbers of files based on the
structure you specify.

Good luck

Thanks Bee and Roger. A friend of mine showed me how to do it with a old DOS command inside of Command Prompt. Huh, and who says we don't need DOS any more? :

Thank you for your feedback, Brian :)

Yes, the Command Prompt is pretty handy.
