I just installed powerpoint 2003 on my computer. I then
copied some presentations that contain movie clips to the
computer. When I tried to play the movies within the
presentation an error message came up because the movie
file path is not the same on the new computer as it was
on the old computer. In the older version of powerpoint
it would ask you if you wanted to look for the file. In
this version it just says it cannot find it. For the
life of me I can't figure out how I edit the movie file
path in powerpoint 2003. Can anyone help me with this.

thanks

mike

For now, put the video file in the same folder as the presentation resides
in and it will work.

To do yourself in the future, always gather files you are going to link to
and put them in the same folder as the presentation. Do this before you
insert them in your presentation. Then, when you move or distribute the
presentation, keep all of the linked files with it and the links won't
break.
