Whenever the login menu (classic) appears, my name doesn't come up, just the
word "owner" and i can't figure out how to change this. In the "user profile"
it says Vickie/owner. When i go into user accounts, my name appears as
administrator.

How do i get rid of "owner"?

OK, let me guess, when you first got your machine it came with an
account that had a login name of Owner and an account name of Owner,
you then went into User Accounts and renamed the account to Vickie,
correct?

Changing the login name in XP does NOT change the account name so the
account Owner was, is and allways be Owner no matter what you change
the login name to.

If you want to have an account that has a login name "Vickie"and an
account name of "Vickie" you will need to create a new account "Vickie"
in the User Account Control Panel, before you do this change the
existing account name back to owner.

Once the new account has been created you can copy your documents from
one account to another, you may also want to export your email and
address books. Alternativly you could investigte Profile :-
