Purchased a couple of laptops in Taiwan and want to change the interface to
English. Have been able to change some in Regional Settings, however the
desktop icons have remained in Chinese. Any suggestions?

Tks much

Sorry, but you'll have to buy a new version of XP in English. Check
with Microsoft directly if this needs to be an "upgrade" or a "full".
This question has been asked many times in past, and in past I looked
for documentation on web site which version required, and I can't find.
Call Microsoft in your current country.

One cannot change the language version of Windows XP.
You'll have to purchase a "Full English Version" of
Windows XP, reformat your hard drive, then install it.
