changing ip address in SBS 2000

Is there any patch for changing the ip address on a
windows sbs 2000 server because on previous occasions i
got a lot off errors when i changed the ip address of a
windows sbs 2000 server and had to start all over again.

Yes, there is. How many nics in the server? Also, have a look at
www.smallbizserver.net and the microsoft.public.backoffice.smallbiz2000
newsgroup. If you have to change the IP of the internal nic, you also have
to change your DNS and DHCP-configuration.

Have a look at 284831 in the MS knowledgebasis about changing the IP.
