Changing HDD How can i reactivate my xp

I'm Currently in Process of upgrading my conputer and i'm changing my HDD
because my first one went bad. I do have a retail version of xp home. is
there any way that i can get a new key code or get the old one deactivated
so that i can install xp on my new PC without buying it again.

How do I "deactivate", move to another computer, or sell a previously activated XP?

For home if you have the upgrade version it wont install w/o a previou
version of windows.If its full version install new hd,turn on machine,install xp cd
restart computer,boot to xp cd,select install xp.The computer is the same,xp won
mind a new hd,registering is all thats required.

Just boot from the CD and install XP. If the hard drive is all that changed,
you will probably activate the same as the original instalation.
You boot from the CD and do a clean install.

There's no limit to the number of times you can reinstall and
activate the same WinXP license on the same PC. If it's been more
than 120 days since you last activated that specific Product Key,
you'll most likely be able to activate via the Internet without
problem. If it's been less, you might have to make a 5 minute phone
call.
