What is the expected product life cycle of Windows XP
support (years +2004)? Will this product continue to be
supported. I find some software I desire will not now run
on Windows 98, 4.1. I must change operating systems to
Windows XP. However, I am unsure if the new operating
system will continue to be supported by Microsoft. What
is the expected life cycle of Windows XP?

Carey answered your question on the life cycle but I would recommend you
upgrade to XP. There are a plenty of reasons to go to XP just in the
security, stability and functionality arenas alone. Besides, support Win98
will end before XP does! ;-)
