I recently involuntarily switched from Comcast cable to SBC DSL. I
configured my network so I can surf and so on, but I am unable to send
my email via outlook express, where I can receive email in outlook
express. Comcast will not give me technical support. I get the
following errors when I try to send an email:
The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's
e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was
'(e-mail address removed)'. Subject 'test', Account: 'mail.comcast.net',
Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530
Authentication required', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error:
530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78
and also this error:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible
causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long
period of inactivity. Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server:
'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '+OK', Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
Is my router incorrectly configured? I can check my email on the
website but I want to set it up via outlook. Can someone please help
me!!!!
