Changing font question

I got a Dell desktop but the font for all appications is set for Tocoma,
which is hard to read. My question is how do I change the font.

Start > Help and Support, search term "font" will yield useful information.
 
PA-Woodchuck,
Right click Desktop> Properties> Appearance tab> Advance button> In the Item box
scroll to ICON> there you can change the size and font style> Apply/OK.
