Changing domain password prevents me from accessing network server

I have Windows XP, and we are prompted to change our domain passwords
regularly. After I changed my domain password, I have been unable to access
our network servers. Would this have anything to do with the fact that my
local machine password didn't sync with the network password? If so, how do
you sync these?

are logging on to the local machine or the domain?

have your network share been mapped by a script?

I am logging on to the local machine and to the domain. The login dialog asks
for my ID, PWD, and domain. My network servers are mapped as network drives
