I'm a back up domain controller on a practice domain at school. I wasn't a
global catalog DC. The main DC, who created the domain, his hard drive
crashed so his dc can't be retrieved. I'm trying to remove active directory
but I can't because I have a child domain relying on me. So i'm trying to
remove that child domain but I am not the domain naming master, so I can't
remove the child. Also, I can't change the domain naming master role because
I can't connect to the original DC, who has the domain naming master role. Is
there a script or something I can run to force the change of the domain
naming master to me, so that I can remove the child domain and thus remove
active directory, or do I have to reinstall? Thanks in advance.
