I hope this hasn't been posted before but if it
has...please bear with me. I know how to change my
desktop picture. However, I have saved several other
pictures to my hard drive that I would like to
incorporate into the file that holds the desktop
pictures. That file is located at
c:/windows/web/wallpaper. The files I have saved are
located in "my pictures". I can browse for them when I
open the desktop properties but what I am looking to do
is include them in the list that pops up when properties
is opened. When I try to copy/paste files, it tells me
that file is already being accessed or the drive is
full. Is there any way to do this or do I need to just
continue browsing?? Many many thanks in advance for your
help....

Toni,

When you say you want the pictures to be included in the list that pops up
when properties is opened do you mean the 'Background' list that can be
found on the 'Desktop' tab sheet for System Properties? On my system
running Windows XP this Background list contains all of the images that live
in My Pictures folder. I know this list should display .jpg, .bmp, and .gif
files. What format are your pictures saved as? Where does your My Pictures
folder live?

Thanks,

Ok..when I right click on my desk top and then click
properties, the display properties box opens. I then
click on the desktop tab. I can get to my other pictures
when I browse and they are located in My Pictures...My
Documents. As far as I know, all my pictures are jpegs
or gifs. When I click on a picture to add it to my
desktop, as long as that picture is ON my desktop it will
show up in the Background list. As soon as I change
pics, it's gone from the list. The list of background
pics lives @: C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper. Do I just copy
the pictures I want to this folder? Thanks...Toni

Also...when I try to copy pictures to the
C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper location, an error message pops
up that says it can't be copied to that location,
location is full access denied. Any help?? thanks...toni
