Hi,

I was wondering if one of you internet gurus could help
out an ingnoramus like myself.

I have Microsoft 2000 and I don't know how to change my
defaults under internet options. Everytime I turn off my
computer when I turn it back on and then open Internet
Explorer it goes to some wacky porn site with a million
pop-ups.

It seems to be having other effects on my computer as
well. I am not able to check my hotmail account under IE
(but I can access the hotmail account through Netscape
Navigator).

Much thanks for any and all help.

Cameron

Hi Cam,

To fix the problem with the initial site Internet Explorer goes to you need
to reset your "Home Page". From the Tools menu, open "Internet Options". At
the top of the resulting window (General tab) you wil see "Home page". you
can enter the address of the site you want to see when you open up Internet
Explorer. it may be easiest just to browse to the page you want as your
Home page and then follow the steps above and choose, "Use Current".

Thanks,

I actually have a problem with this as well. I changed my home page as you described but every time I start up my PC a different home page gets loaded. Where is this coded so that I can remove it?

Thanks
