When i connect Laptop_XP1 to Laptop_XP2, Laptop_XP2 only
allows me to connect with the username, Guest, but not as
an account with higher permissions; however, when I
connect Laptop_XP1 to a 2000 workstation I can change my
username.

How is this, what do I need to change to on the XP laptops
so i can connect with higher permissions?

Okay I found out you can change the local security
settings "Network Access:Sharing and security model for
local accounts" from the "Guest only - local users
authenticate as Guest" (default) to "Classic - local users
authenticate as themselves". This fixes the problem. What
I would like to do is find out what registry setting it
modifies so i can patch my machines.
