Hello and good evening to all.

I've just installed WinXP and would like to know how to go about changing
the default location of certain file folders.

I've partitioned my drive such that I have 5 Gigs of space on the C drive
which I would like to use for the operating system and miscellaneous
programming purposes. I have another 14 or so Gigs of space on a second
partition, where I'd like to me the "Program Files" and "Documents and
Settings" folders. If possible I'd also like to move internet related
folders to this partition.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Change the Default Location of the My Documents Folder http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q310147&ID=KB;EN-US;Q310147 and just install the programs to the "programs" file you create on the other partition. You do realize that some files from those programs will still be installed on the system drive. Also that all hot fixes will be installed to the system drive.
