While surfing I inadvertantly clicked on a link that
changed my default homepage on start-up of ie6 can anyone
help me fix this?

If you have your browser open, click on Tools at the top,
and go into Internet Options. On the very first tab that
you see, you can change your browser homepage to whatever
you want it to be. Click on "Apply", "Ok", and then
restart the browser and you should be fine.

Have tried that but when the computer is shut down and
turned back on it goes back to the original homepage. Not
the one i changed it to.On that same page it also has two
blocks that say default and about blank.I want to change
the default option.

Just go to tools on the toolbar and go to internet options
and then the box that pops up should be already on the
General tab and you will see a section that says
homepage...just type what you want your homepage to be and
click use current and then click apply and that should get
it!

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
