Changing default font option in Outlook 2003.

When a new email message is typed, by default, it uses small-caps. Is there
any way of changing it? Right now, the only way I know is - type the entire
message, select the entire and uncheck the small caps option from Format -->
Font option. Also, this happens only in Outlook. Thanks in advance for any
help.

html or plain text format? is small caps selected in tools, options, mail
format, fonts?
