Hi,

I'm trying to change the color scheme of Windows Explorer in Vista
Ultimate and cannot find a way to do that. This color scheme seems to
be just another thing Microsoft designers think they know better than
users. Does someone know some tricky way to get rid of annoying colors
that Microsoft chose for me?

Thanks.

the best is to have a XP service pack 2 with vista inerface, i use a copi of
windows service pack 2 without licence and i'm very happy of it. try to use
vista like default

I'm sorry to hear that. Microsoft chose some really nice colors for my
version of Vista. ;-)

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

Me too, I completely ignored the custom colour options!

Yeah, yeah, yeah..... "You can choose any color of your car until that
color is black". LMAO

The complete lack of respect to the user is the firm style of
production from Microsoft.

I have found a solution though: ignoring Windows Explorer and
installing a more user friendly file manager.

The lack of color difference between a selected and an unselected file
is not a bug, it is by design.

Who did say anything about the color difference between selected and
unselected files? I said that I don't like the black-n-white color
scheme of Windows Explorer and wanted to change this scheme. Total
Commander file manager became the solution of this problem.
