Ok here goes
I hope this can be done. (you folks haven't let me down
yet.)
I am making a work order, sheet that has an area to fill
in for
Work Request.
the discription could be quite lenghty. is there a way to
change the width and height of a cell in a column with out
changing the ones above it.
(I also will be locking the sheet so they can tab to the
areas they need to fill in. I know how to do this part )

Thanks in advance
steve

You can only do it using some VB and even then you can't change one cell
without changing the whole column or row unless you start looking at merging
cells which would be messy

Why not use a form ? (Excel 2000)

Chris

Sorry, but you cannot change the width or heighth of a
specific cell. Cell heighth and width is for the entire
column or row. You might try merging the cells needed to
accomodate the size you need.

Ok thanks I'll play with it and maybe try using a form
also.
thanks again
steve

OK thanks
I'll take a look at the forms program and see what I can
come up with.
thanks again
steve
