Hi

I should know this, as I have done it in other versions
of Windows, but I cannot for the life of me find how to
change CD drive letters. I've tried all the obvious
things. Can someone help?

Cheers

Right click My Computer, choose Manage.
Select Disk Management.
Right click the CD Rom and select Change drive letters and paths.

Right click on my computer, click on "MANAGE", Click
on "DISK MANAGEMENT", and then right click on the drive
that you want to change the letter on.

I have run into the same problem and Microsoft Knowledge
base gives the instructions for change the drive letter
for CD drives but, the instructions include the
instruction "Click Change Drive Letter and Paths." which
does no appear on the menu. I sent a reference to this in
a comment to Microsoft but do not expect any response.

Those instructions are correct.
Right click My Computer, choose Manage.
Select Disk Management in the left hand pane.
Right click the CD Rom in the right hand pane and
select Change drive letters and paths.
