Changing categories

Is there a way to change categories for different contacts all at one time
without having to go through each and every category and change them. Also,
is there a way to send an email to people in a particular category through
Business Contact Manager and not use the outside source that they suggest (I
don't like the idea of my contacts being on anyone's server except my own -
PRIVACY is a wonderful thing).

Yes, highlight the records for which you want to assign categories, from a
default or customized view makes it easier, right-click, select Categories
and select the Categories you're adding. If you want to deselect something,
you have to go to that Category view, highlight multiple records,
right-click, select Categories but deselect them.
You can select across Category folders, too, for adding, but not deselecting
(usually).
