Changing boot drive letter.

Having just had to reinstall everything after a virus
attack I now find that my boot drive is identified as
drive H. Although this all works OK it is confusing.
If I boot from my backup drive I can rename the prime
drive as C but when I boot back on it it reverts H.
Whichever drive I boot from is automatically identified
as H.
There must be something in the configuration which I can
change to correct this but I can't find it.
Can anyone help????

Hi,

Once installed, the only way to change the drive letter housing the system
partition is to format and do it again. Unless you really need to have it as
"C" (there's really no requirement that the system be installed to C:\, it's
just a common convention), I would just leave it alone. If you do decide to,
detach any added drives, especially a zip drive, before proceeding with the
new installation.
