Michael

a friend of mine just asked me how he will be able to change all the
headers on his website by changing one externally linked page.

I've never needed to do this and don't know if it's possible.

Guess anything's possible - so easily possible :-)

Any ideas ?

thanks

Michael

Depends on how the current site has been structured.

Checkout the frontpage include component; this allows you to make a page, then include it on all other pages. Any changes made to that one page will propagate to the other pages.

Good luck

He has a home page with links on it to several other pages within the
same web and wants to change the headers on all the pages so that they
will all be the same.

Not sure that this could be done via an external css page as he wants
to update the entire header on all the pages.

A global change ?

thanks

The best option would be create a topnav.htm file with the links from the
home page, then use the FP Include Page component to manually include the
navigation in all pages. Thereafter he would only have to update the single
topnav.htm page when he need to change navigation, etc.

Again it depends on how the "headers" were applied
Html, shared borders, include pages, navbars, themes, etc
Provide more detail or a URL
