Changing Administrator Password

P

Pat

I have a password on my administrator account on my
version of Windows XP Professional. When I first
installed windows, the administrator account was not
password protected. The computer would automatically
load directly into the administrator account without
prompting for a password. I had to apply a password to
the administrator account for security reasons, but now I
no longer need a password to protect this account. Is
there a way that I can remove the password from my
administrator account without performing a clean
install?

Thanks for all your help in advance.

Pat;
Go to User Accounts in Control Panel.
Select the user and choose option to delete password.

Note: It is not a good idea to operate with any Administrator not
protected by a password.
