Changing Administrator Password in XP

We have several PCs running Windows XP which we recently acquired. We
weren't given the password to the "Administrator" account. When I try to
change the password from another administrator account, I get a warning
that it may mess up the system. What can it potentially mess up, is
there anything else we should bear in mind, and is there a better way to
go about this?

Hi

The warning is about encrypted files. As long as the user you reset the
password on have not encrypted any valuable user data files, it should
be no problems.
