Hello,

The firm I am working for has designed their AD in quite a
wrong way. They have all of their OU's created in the
root. This is causing some problems and now we want to
create a main OU in the root and move the existing OU's
into this main OU. But we are quite suspicus about the
problems that may occure after this operation. Has anybody
done this before or have any information about the dangers
of this operation? Should we do it or not?

Thanks

No, you can reorganize OU's as you please. Just be carefull if you have a
GPO's set on OU's that are inherited from other OU's. You can use GPMC
(group policy management console) to get a beter picture of your GPO's
structure. Otherwise you will be fine.
