Changing a link

I have a cell with a date, i.e. 9/25/1995 that represents a link. I would
like it to read 9/25/1995 NOT as a link. When I attempt to remove the link I
obtain 34806. How do I make this change.

Hi
just format this cell as 'Date'. You see the numeric representation of
a date (Excel stores all dates as numbers)
