Changing a link text color using PowerPoint

If I understand your need correctly:

In PPT 2002/2003:
Format > Slide Design
When the Task Pane appears, select Color Schemes. At the bottom of the Task
Pane, select Edit Color Schemes.
Edit your Accent & (followed) Hyperlink colors

You will need to change the color scheme.
Click Format > Slide Design.
This opens up the task pane. On the task pane, select Color Schemes.
Click Edit Color Schemes.
Change the color of "Accent and hyperlink" (hyperlink color) and "Accent and
followed hyperlink" (visited hyperlink color) accordingly.

Is that what you want?

This is helpful, but why do we need to do this at all? The default link
color in PowerPoint is a very light blue. Ever since the beginning of the
Web, the default color of hyperlinks has been dark blue. Change the default
in future versions!

You must be living in the past - the current PowerPoint version 2007 has
darker Hyperlinks in its standard Office theme.
