Changes to IE default behavior on link selection?

Are any of you aware of a change to IE's default behavior
on selecting a link? Normally you click a link and it
opens in the same page (unless you use the right click
menu option to open in a new window). I have noticed that
my IE is now opening a new window every time a select a
link. Is this related to the Anti Spyware sw? Any idea
how to change it back to the regular behavior?
