Hello, I’m having following issue with MDW files
I start database with MDW file placed on network (by using /wrkgrp in batch file)
When I make a security chance to Group A on 1 computer, it does not affect another user (who is member of Group A), working with the same MDW file on another computer
Looks like any changes in security are recorded in default MDW files (placed on local harddrives) and not in active MDW file placed on network

I would like to manage user/group permissions from my computer (like in version ’97). It seems like I’m not able to do that in 2003 version any more. Database seems to be secured properly, because users without access to correct MDW file can not open it at all

What 'security change' did you make? If it was a permission on an object,
that is not stored in the mdw. Permissions are stored in the mdb. the mdw
file just has the usernames, groups, passwords, and user membership.

If you make a permission change, you need to copy the changed mdb to your
users.
