My 9 year old son changed the password when logging into
Windows 2000 Professional. He can not remember what he
changed it to. It was during the time the system asks you
to change your password. He did so and saved it. How do I
get back into my system??? Thanks

You can pay anywhere from $70 to $300+ for a tool that
will change the password (and you don't have to know the
old one). Or, you can get a free tool IF you are computer-
savvy. There are also different "rules" and "regulations"
as far as what you can and can't do, so many that I can't
mention here.

I've personally used Petter Nordahl-Hagen's "Offline NT
Password & Registry Editor." Worked PERFECTLY under 10
minutes and it was FREE! Again, you have to be computer-
savvy to know what you are doing. If not, I suggest
forking over the $70+ bucks for a commercial tool. Check
out:
http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm
for more information. You can also find Nordahl-Hagen's
website (and a place where you can download his free tool)
by going to Google and finding it there.

Basically, if you are computer-savvy, you are going to
only lose 20 minutes over this. If you aren't, you are out
money. Good luck.
