We had a 12 Mb/s connection and were getting the speeds in the region of 1 or 2 Mb/s for a long time, the service was horrible. We switched to Comcast who were offering 50Mb/s connection and the results are as follows:

Wired speed

Wireless speed

The router is downstairs in the living room and the wireless speed is based on close proximity.

In my bedroom upstairs I get download speeds of 25 Mb/s at its highest, upload remaining same.

You'll be starting a penguin colony next mate. :thumb:

Meanwhile in rural England. Merely a stones throw from a thriving metropolis.

Abarbarian, Just a couple of weeks back I was in the same boat as yourself, and for a long while. You will get there too, don't loose heart!

Hi Arabarian I am assuming that you live in the UK, see if vfast.co.uk operate in your area as they specilise in rural areas, our County Council have a scheme that subsides the service for rural areas and I get 8 to 10 mps, where as I used to get .03mps with BT. It is a wireless service and you do have to be in vision of the transmitter, ours is a mile away at the top of a hill.

Hey guys that is an improvement on a few weeks ago.

No Vfast.:(

Quad only way I will get faster speed is if I win the lottery.
