To get the download dialog box, enable the "confirm open after download"
option for that filetype:
Click "Start" -> "Program Files" -> "Windows Explorer".
Then click "Tools" -> "Folder Options".
Change to the "File Type" tabs.
Scroll down to locate the file type. Highlight the filetype (example :"PPT
Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation") and click the "Advanced" button.
Then check the option "confirm open after download".
Also, set the "NoSelectDownloadDir" to "0"

I tried to download a free isp service on my cdr drive. When I did windows
gave me a box that said something like 'whenever I do this again download to
here'. This a.m. I tried to download an update to my firewall and it would
go only to the 'e' drive and not the 'c' drive as before. I've looked around
but can't find where or how to change it back to the default. Any help is
greatly appreciated
