I recently changed the workgroup name for my computer and
upon rebooting discovered all my desktop settings, Outlook
configuration (i.e accounts, messages, contaacts) were no
longer associated with my logon.
I have since changed back to the original workgroup name
but all information is still lost to me.
Questions
1] Is this information still resident on my computer?
2] If so how do I locate it? and
3] Is it possible to restore this info, import it into my
new profile etc?

I have searched the hard drive for .pst files (Outlook I
think) but have failed to find any.

Thanking in advance.

Profiles are usually kept in "c:\documents and settings".
Existing profiles are preserved, even when you change
computer names.

This might be an excellent opportunity to review your
backup strategy. If your Outlook files are important, then
you must back them up at least once every week, rather
than go hunting for them after disaster has struck.
