Change Zoom & Page Break Settings

Is there a way to change the default zoom feature in Word? For example always display Page Width instead of 100%?

And is there a way to change the page break setting to always Hide White Space between pages?

As you are finding out, some of the various options are document specific
and some are "generic" for all documents. Check out this page to see about
fixing the zoom setting of "normal.dot".
