Change to Outlook from Outlook Express

Could someone please be kind enough to explain to me in
simple terms - how to change my e-mail programme from
Outlook Express to Outlook?
 
It is simple enough, but it depends upon if you are
referring to changing your default e-mail programme from
Outlook Express to Outlook, or actually migrating all of
your e-mail and addresses from OE to Outlook.
 
Sorry if this sounds even remotely sarcastic - it isn't meant to be:
1. Buy and install Outlook (Office) - this is oftentimes forgotten by
people
2. Within Outlook, select File/Import and Export
3. Select "Import Internet Mail and Addresses"
4. Select "Outlook Express ..."
