Change to another machine

I tried to move my original harddisk with Win2K installed to another empty
machine. But I found that it did not get boot up, after the windows
progress bar and then a dos screen said you may have virus or need a scan
of my hard disk. Why ?

My original machine is Celeron 433 and the new machine is P4.

It's due to different hardware

boot with your win2k cd and try a repair installation

Normally, unless the new motherboard is virtually identical to the
old one (same chipset, IDE controllers, etc), you'll most likely need
to perform a repair (a.k.a. in-place upgrade) installation, at the
very least (and don't forget to reinstall any service packs and
subsequent hot fixes):
