Is there a way using PPT 2000 to change the timing of a slide without rehearsing the timings and screw up already set ones??

Hi,

From what I could remember of 2000, you can start from that slide in the
slide sorter and be prompted to do the whole presentation, or just that
slide. Else, put your slide in a new presentation, rehearse it, and then put
it back?

Just remember that those times showing in the slide sorter are between
events.
This means it counts times after all the animation on the page is completed,
and till the first event on the next slide begins.
