How do I change the email default file extension from HTML to message format.
This allows me to save any file attachments whereas HTML extension does not
work that well. I am tired of allways changing it when I save the email to
our network directories. My last place of employment had that set as a
default.

Hi John,

Outlook allows you to compose and send mail messages in 3 different formats, including HTML, Rich Text and Plain Text. To change the mail format, click on Tools > Options > Mail
Format tab, and change the format for outgoing messages in the dropdown box.

Scott,
Thanks for answering quickly.

What I meant was, If I attempt to save an email to a directory on our
network, outlook will (by default) save it as an .html. This has a tendency
to mess with the original email's attachments. So, can I (by default) have
outlook save the emails as an outlook message format. This keeps the
attachment of any email in it's integrity. I know I am given that option
each time but, can I set as a defult?
