I know (or I think) that there are programs capable of changing the
BIOS settings from Windows. If I'm correct, wouldn't it also be
possible to make a program that could change the settings via LAN??

If it exists, I'd like to give it a try.
Thanx

One cannot change BIOS settings from within Windows.
You must enter the BIOS setup during the initial bootup
of your computer.

Some motherboards have windows based applications that change the bois
settings. Using remote desktop someone can change ths bios then.

That depends on the brand of the motherboard and/or software available to
you. If the motherboard manufacturer provides Windows based software to
update the Bios then it is as simple as it would be to run any other program
on the remote. If on the other hand the Bios can only be updated from DOS
then the only way to update over the LAN would be with the aid of DOS based
network that has the capability to do a remote control.

I have Dell Optiplex gx270/gx260's and I've been doing some research.
It seems that everywhere it says, that these computers support "Remote
BIOS Configuration". Now the only problem is: I can't find a program
to handle this feature. (I've looked all over Dell's site, but no
luck) There MUST be a program to do this - why else would they support
it?? :-)

Anyone know of a program?
