Hi everyone,
I have a big hardrive 180 gb. with several drives, one strictly for
recovery- only10 GB. How do I change the size of the volume so it does get
filled up so quick while Backing up file?

Vista's Disk Management application includes an option to shrink a volume(primary or logical drive), then expand another using the freed unallocated space. Note: For best success, its best to do this on adjacent drives.

Alternative..third party software(currently Acronis Disk Director Suite version 10 and Vista compatible is the primary choice of many).

Note: Backup all files to external media(usb drive, thumb drive, cd or dvd etc) in advance of changing any drive.
