change sign of a column of figures from + to -

That's it really
Visa account downloads with expenditure in positive figures, I want to put
it into spreadsheet as negative without creating another column.
 
Put -1 in a spare cell. Copy. Select the cells you want to change from +
to -. Edit/ Paste Special/ Multiply.
You can now delete the -1 from the spare cell if you wish.

In a blank cell, type -1.
Then with the cell selected, copy the -1.
Then select the range of numbers for which you want to reverse the
sign and do a >paste special >multiply.
